the enclosed safety es elustiu, the staff considers that the Joint owners' Group (JOG) Program on MOV Periodic Vermestion serves as an acceptable industry wide response to Generic Letter i
(GL) 96 05, " Periodic Vertfication of Design Basis capability of Safety-Related Motor-Operated l
Valves." As specmed in the enclosed safety evaluation,' JOG must submit for NRC review and approval a revision to (or replacement report for) the subject topical report describing the final test criteria for the long-term MOV Periodic Vertfication Program, and the justification for those criteria following completion of the 5 year JOG dynamic test program.
The final version of the topical report should incorporate this letter, the safety evaluation, NRC staff written comments provided to BWROG on the JOG program, and the submitted JOG responses.
t Please advise us within 30 days whether any material in the enclosed safety evaluation is considered proprietary. Without such notification, the staff will place the safety evaluation in the NRC Public Document Room.
