Deletion of Seal Exhaust Pump Overflows in Buildings X-330 and X-333
Dear Dr. Paperiello:
The purpose of this letter is to notify the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of a change in the completion date for a regulatory commitment. This commitment was made in USEC letter GDP 98-0127 dated July 1,1998 (Reference 1), and it is related tc the certificate amendment request and the revision of NCSAs/NCSEs. The specifics of the commionent changes are provided below.
Original Commitment Letter GDP 98-0127, Enclosure 1, Response (2) stated:
The applicable NCSAs/NCSEs governing the Area I, Il and III seal exhaust system will be revised to reflect the limiting oil quantity noted in Item (1) above and as stated in GDP 98-0027 (Reference 3). Those revisions will be prepared and approved by December 31,1998.

GDP 98-0289, Page 2 Justification for Revised Commitment Revision of the NCSA described by the original commitment identified additional changes to the Safety Analysis Report (SAR) requirement for alumina loading of chemical traps. This requirement is not directly related to the seal exhaust overflows, but is part of the seal exhaust station operation.
' The NCSA cannot be completed until these changes are made to the SAR. The Request for Application Change has been initiated to make the changes to the SAR, but will take additional time to complete.
