REVIEW OF FINAL RULE TO AMEND 10 CFR PART 71, REQUIREMENTS FOR SHIPPING PACKAGES USED TO -
TRANSPORT VITRIFIED HIGH LEVEL WASTF (RMNg1)
As requested, the Spent Fuel Project Office has reviewd the Commission paper for the final rule to revise 10 CFR 71.63 to exempt vitrified high level waste containing plutonium from the double containment requirements specified in 9 71.63. SFPO concurs with the final rule.
Our comments on the Statement of Consideration and related documents are attached in a marked up copy for your censideration.
