SUBJECT:
AFF REQUIREMENTS - COMSECY-93-031 - PROPOSED ' REORGANIZATIONS t The Commission has approved the proposed plans for reorganizations as detailed in ' COMSECY-98-031. The staff should continue to identify and evaluate organizational changes which will improve operational management and efficiency as experience is gained and as NRC programs evolve. The staff should consider flattening the organizational structure when future opportunities allow that to occur. The transfer of staff among officea and the downsizing as a result of the reorganization could result in an imbalance of skills. Management should ensure that critical positions remain staffed. cc: Chairman Jackson Commissioner Dieus Commissioner Diaz Commissioner McGaffigan Commissioner Merrifield OGC ClO CFO OCA OlG \\ 0 9901040064 981201 PDR 10cyn ,h PT9.7 PDR ( OJ r c. s c.; a4n4 GRm em =}}
