This letter provides an update of the 10 CFR 2.206 Petition you submitted on March 3,1997, on behalf of Albert A. Cirek (Petitioner). The Petition recuests that the licenses for the three Millstone nuclear reactors and the Haddam Neck nuclear reactor held by Northeast Nuclear Energy company be modified by placing certain conditions on the operating licenses of each of these facilities.
As noted in the staff's acknowledgement letter of April 8,1997, the Director's Decision may be delayed as a result of ongoing investigations.
The staff is currently evaluating whether the investigations must be completed prior to issuing a Director's Dec!sion.
