Adoption of Option B of 10 CFR 50, Appendix J GNRO-98/00004 Gentlemen:

Entergy Operations, Inc. is submitting by this letter a revision to a proposed amendment to the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS) Operating License. By letter dated October 28, 1907, we requested a change that would allow us to adopt Option B of 10 CFR 50, Appendix J. This revision incorporates certain suggestions made by the NRC staff during a conference call on January 6,1998. These changes provide certain clarifications to the amendment and add a restriction to the allowed interval extensions.

Attachment 1 is the oath and affirmation required by 10 CFR 50.30. Attachment 2 provides a revision to " Insert A' of section 5.5.12 from our original submittal. The no significant hazards considerations included in the original proposal is unaffected by this revision and is therefore not included.
