JAN 20 P2 S3 The enclosed report outlines the ::urrent status and future schedule for tasks in the Transportation Program Area.
The previous bimonthly reporting period #or the Transportation Program Area Progress Report has been changed to a currterly reporting period. Thus, there will be four progress reports issued per acnum, three quarterly and one annual (the annual report will replace the June quartarly report).

Curing this period, the peer review of the Modal ?tudy was completed, the LSA ilulemaking was terminated (see page 16), the Commission approved the Comnission s
Paper denying the Wisconsin Petition, staff received the Aerospace Corporation's West Valley Study Final Report, and staff forwarded a Reouest for Procurement Action to the Divisior of Centrdcts for an update of NUPEG/CR.1620.
As indicated in the report, certain tasks which have been terminated or are inactive will be deleted from future progress reports, however, they could be reinstated if new activity were to develop.
