SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-313/97-17;50-368/97-17
Dear Mr. Hutchinson:
An NRC inspection was conducted August 25-28,1997, at your Arkansas Nuclear One,
Units 1 and 2 reactor facilities. The inspection also included conversations held between
your Mr. W. McKelvy and Mr. G. Guerra of my staff regarding items identified during the
.
inspection and the transmittal of Arkansas Nuclear One Condition Report 97-1-0245 on
September 3,1997. The enclosed report presents the scope and results of that
inspection.
The inspector determined that the liquid and gaseous radioactive effluent waste programs
were effectively implemented.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased to discuss
them with you.
