PARTIAL CREDIT FOR BORON IN THE SPENT FUEL POOL AT BYRON STATION (TAC NOS. M99170 AND M99171)

Dear Mr. Kingsley:

On December 4,1997, we issued Amendment No. 94 to the licenses for Byron, Jnits 1 and 2, granting partial credit for the use of boron in the spent fuel pool to maintain suberiticality. A typographical error was inadvertently introduced on technical specification (TS) page 5-5. TS 5.6.1.1.c currently begins "A k,,< 0.95 if..." TS 5.6.1.1.c should begin "A k,, s 0.95 if...." A copy of the corrected page is enc.losed.

We apologize for any inconveniences that this change may have caused.
