MODIFICATION NO. 2 TO TASK ORDER NO. 20 ENTITLED " ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR LICENSE RENEWAL OF NUCLEAR FUEL SERVICES. INC..
ERWIN. TN" UNDER CONTRACT NO. NRC 02 95 003 This confirms verbal authorization provided to yvu on August 8. 1997 from Ms.
Anita Hughes of my staff to increase the level of effort of the subject task order. This effort shall be performed in accordance with the enclosed Statement of Work. The effective date of this modification is August 8.1997.
The purpose of this modification is to:
(1) increase the level of effort by 100 professional and 50 non professional manhours. (2) extend the expiration date of the task order from " September 30, 1997" to " December 31. 1997".
(3) incorporate additional steps to the schedule for the license renewal review process, and (4) obligate additional funds in t' e amount of $14.046.00.
n thereby increasing the obligated and ceiling amounts of the subject task order by $14.046.00 from $79.845.00 to $93.891.00.
The increase in the level of effort and the extension to the expiration date are necessitated to allow the contractor adequate time to: (a) review the December 1996 NFS Environmental Report (ER), and determine if questions contained in the Request for Additional Information dated October 21, 1996 has been answered in the ER. (b) elicit additional information from the applicant (NFS). and federal, state, and local officials, and (c) make a determination if the new or updated environmental data obtained from the review is needed for the preparation of the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Nuclear Fuel Services facility.
Under Section 2.3 entitled "Scheaule " of the basic task order. between the

"The period of performance for Task Order No. 20 is from August 14, 1997 through December 31, 1997.
The total cost ceiling is 193.891.00 of which the sum of 186.536.00 represents reimbursable cost, and the sum of
$7.355.00 represents fixed fee."
