DESCRIPTION 1 Its intended application is to be permanently mounted to a door frame (above the door) to enable the user to open the door enough such that the latch mechanism will engage and hold the door in the open position. If the smoke is then detected, the door will be automatically released. The radioactive source ionization chamber, used for smoke detection, is a' sealed unit which is soldered to the printed circuit board and also secured with two screws. The printed circuit board is housed inside an aluminum extrusion which is not accessible to the user. The model 8992 is a battery-powered commercial smoke detector with a door holder mechanism. The outer cover is made of aluminum, with an outer dimension of 30 X 2 X 1 3/8 inches (76.2 X 5.06 X 3.49 cm).

Based on your letter dated August 10,1998, we have amended in entirety and transfered registration certificate NR-0782-D-101-E from Motus Inc. ( the previous owner) to Sedco Inc.
We note that the location of operation has remained unchanged.
Please be advised that you must manufacture and distribute the product in accordance with the statements and representations contained in the application submitted by Motus Inc. ( and it predecessors) with enclosures thereto, and the information set out in the attached registration certificate. As a general rule, you must request and obtain an amendment to the j certificate before you make changes or modifications to the information submitted to obtain the registration certificate. You are obligated to notify us promptly in writing should you decide to no longer manufacture or offer service support for the product.
