NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 70-7001/97 206
Dear Mr. Miller:
This letter refers to the chemical process safety inspection conducted on July 21-25,1997, at the Paducah Gascous Diffusion Plant. The purpose of the inspection was to determine whether selected aspects of the facility's chemical safety program were effectively implemented in accordance with certificate requirements. At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with Mr. H. Pully, and members of your staff.
Specific areas reviewed during the inspection are identified in the enclosed report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of facility walkthroughs, selective examination of procedures and records, interviews with personnel, and observations of activities in progress.
Based on the results of this inspection, no violations were identified. However, one Inspector Followup ltem was identified, as discussed in the report. The NRC expects to resolve this item during a future inspection.
