Kirsch, RV to Thompson, DL; " Transfer of Lead Responsibility - flonconformance of Safety Equipment to Appencix R Requirements at WNP-2" dated June 19, ISEE Responding to your memorandum, Reference (3), flRR has preparec a Safety Evaluatiun, erclosed, relative to the Appendix R Nonconformance issue that was identified in Reference (1) and addressed by the Supply System in Reference (2).
As indicated in the enclosed SER, the hRR staff has found the Supply System's proposed resolutions to be c.cceptable with the proviso that the transfer switch to be located outside the control room (see Deficiency 7, Reference 2) normally should be set in the " isolate" position, lie suggest that you obtain verifica-tion that the Supply System accepts and will implement this proviso.
This curapletes our action relative to T!A C5-S7.
