CALLO's NOTE ON EP RESPONSIVENESS i
Clearly this time Gallo has shot from the hip without any under-standing of the WPPSS 1 & 4 situation.
As you know, we have been having difficulty getting sections 8, 9, and 10 of the DES finished for review because of the workload on Don Conner, ANL, and because of the complexity of the situation re need for power (should we look at regional or individual unit need) and the geothermal question.
Paton knows the situation - we've been in day to day contact with j
him. There is no misunderstanding between Paton and us, and actually little or no difference in opinion as to what is needed.
'Jhat Paton did was write a typical cover-your-rear note with no ulterior mor.ive in mind (this illustrates the problems such notes can precipitate). Callo has picked it up and is trying to turn it for his own ends.
I repeat-there is no misunderstanding and little difference of opinion between EP & OGC on WFPSS 1 & 4 at the working level, and OCC would not be able to support Callo's charge if pressed.
