PROPOSED INFORMATION NOTICE: ASHCROFT PRESSURE SWITCH SET POINT DRIFT We have reviewed the proposed information notice (IN) on sotpoint drif t of Ashcrof t pressure switches resulting from diaphram deformation and have decided not to issue an information notice due to the following reasons:
e A search of NPRDS data did not reveal any other use of Ashcroft B7618 switches.
e A search of NPRDS data for the Ashcroft Pressure switches with diaphram identified only wear and silt related problems.
e The example cited in the proposed IN is a non safety related application and the drif t could be identified at the first in service calibration, if we come across more wide spread use of this type of pressure switch, we will reconsider the proposed IN.
