T. Cox REQUESTED COMPLETION DATE: October 10, 1977 REVIEW STATUS: Q-l's and Q-2's Complete The Quality Assuranca Branch has completed its review of the quality assurance program as well as the organizational structure and responsi-bilities for fire protection for WPPSS Nuclear Projects Nos.1 and 4.
The information received was included in the document entitled "WPPSS Nuclear Projects Nos.1 & 4 Fire Protection Systems Review," submitted on April 6, 1977.
WPPSS has comitted fra the above document that ddsign, procurement, festallation and testing activities conducted after '4 arch 7,1977 will be conducted in accordance with the applicable portions of the existing Design and Construction Quality Assurance Progrars necessary for compliance with the fire protection program described In Appendix A to Branch Technical Position APCSB 9.5.1.
When the applicant meets the fire protection QA program criteria as part of the QA program under 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B (Section 17 of the PSAR) it is not necessary i
to submit a detailed description for NRC review. Therefore, there trill be no fire protection quality assurance questions or positions relative to this application.
