TRANSFER OF NON POWER REACTOR *.NSPECTION PROGRAM

Dear Mr. Setser:

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that effective August 4,1997, the non power reactor inspection program will be transferred from the Region II Office to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR). All activities regarding non power reactors that were formerly the responsibility of Region II including inspection and incident response are now the

responsibility of NRR. All correspondence, reports, and inquiries regarding non power reactors should be directed to:

U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATTN: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555 Emergency situation notifications should continue to be communicated to the NRC Headqurters Operations Center at (301) 816 5100.
