Reactor Projects personnel have recently been informed cf the potential for relocation of the WNP-1 project to the Hanford No. 2 plant site.
Uhile a final decision on the possible relocation is not expected until mid-April 1974, the probability of such a move is considered high enough to warrant consideration of the possible review schedule impact.
Round 1 TR effort is complete with the sole exception of information requests concerning seismology. A safety review site visit is scheduled for January 30, 1974. After consulting with Project repre-sentatives and H. Denton, Assistant Director for Site Safety (TR),
it is our unanimous judgement that Round 1 effort, including the site l
visit, should be completed. The site visit will include a ground l
tour of both sites in order to develop as much information as possible j
for future use, if necessary.

Round 1 responses are due from the applicant between March 4,1974 and March 15, 1974. Un vill check with the applicant approximately one veck before responses are due to determine the currcut status of l
the site selection process and their intended response schedule. If necessary, a formal sentement of their intentions and projected schedule will be requested at that time.
