This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. K. R. Naidu of this office on June 19-20,.1985, of your facility at Chamblee, Georgia, and to the discussions of our findings with M. Austin and R. Rider of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The purpose of this inspection was to review the quality assurance records relative to the refurbishment of the Rancho Seco reactor trip breakers, one of which failed during testing. Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the enclosed report. Within these areas, the
-inspection consisted of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
.The results of the inspection indicated that the Rancho Seco reactor trip breakers were in acceptable operating condition prior to shipment to Babcock & Wilcox, Lynchburg, Virginia.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of
-this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
