LaSalle County is currently in extended outages on both units. During this period, we are reevaluating the current generic issues that are open. For Generic Letter 94 02 related to the Long term Solution Stability System (LTSSS), we have decided to accelerate our current implementation schedule. The purpose of this letter is to inform the Commission of our revised schedule. This information has been previously discussed with the l
LaSalle County Project Manager.
O The Reference 1 letter stated that LaSalle County will complete the installation of the LTSSS for Unit 1 prior to startup from L1R09 and for Unit 2 prior to startup from L2R08. The Reference 2 letter stated the original LaSalle commitments, p)h 1}2074 9708110221 970001 h

e Based on our current situation, the LTSSS Oscillation Power Rango Monitor (OPRM) will be partially Installed on Unit 1 during the current forced outago (L1F35). Finalinstallation will be completed during L1R08 After installation in L1R08, Unit 1 will operate the entito fuel cycle with the LTSSS Reactor Protection System (RPS) trip function disabled to evaluato system performance and its potential for spurious trip signals. Unit 1 will startup following L1R09 with the LTSSS RPS trip function onabled and the system fully oporational.
For Unit 2, wo will fully install the OPRM during the current outago (L2R07),
and likewise oporate the entire fuel cycle with the LTSSS RPS trip function disabled to evaluate system performance and its potential for spurious trip signals. Unit 2 will startup following L2R08 with the LTSSS RPS trip function enabled and the system fully operational.
