Westinghouse CFFF has inventoried and assessed its Year 2000 challenges.

Total Y2K Inventory The inventory of tracked items has remained Business Applications 55 basically constant.

Shop Floor Applications 274 Plant instrumentation devices have been instrumentation (approx.)

3000 inventoried and the assessment was completed in October.

Overall performance against planned remediation schedules shows we are ahead of scheduled in most shop floor applications and instrumentation.

Progress continues in the three major application thrusts with significant efforts toward completion:

CHAMPS WATTS Common Rod Manufacturing Systems Others continue under development and will be progressively completed by 3rd Quarter 1999 Older applications are de.;ommissioned as each of the three development areas replaces their functionality 1

bulk of the plant infrastructure (desktops, LAN, WAN, and servers) were made compliant in 1997.

Supplier certifications on the remaining items continue to be received.

l Application dependent infrastructure will be remediated/ eliminated as aging applications are reengineered.
