Dear Mr. Parr:

Reference 1 requested that we provide you with a schedule for the sub-mittal of the revised ECCS evaluation model.

In Reference 2 (attached to this letter) B&W provided their proposed revision to the B&W ECCS Evaluation Model.

In this reference, B&W requested approval of the change and stated that following receipt of such approval, they would incorporate the change into Topical Report BAW-10104A, Rev. 1, "B&W's ECCS Evaluation Model".

We request that the Staff review the B&W submittal as part of our applications for construction permits and operating licenses for WNP-1/4.

In terms of schedule, we are hopeful that this question of Appendix K compliance, the seismology study and compliance with Table S-3 will have progressed sufficiently by early March that we can take appropriate 433 8605280383 770118 PDR ADOCK 05000460 A

With regards to the fire protection evaluation, we stated in Reference 3 that we perceive no legal or policy reasons to require that Staff review of this evaluation be completed prior to the issuance of the construc-tion permit for WNP-4.

However, we do hope to have our part of this evaluation completed and submitted to the NRC by early March 1977.
