Attached is a letter from the State of Texas which requests approval from the NRC for disposal of soil contaminated with low-levels of Cesium-137 nt a uranium mill tailings pond.
We ask that you conduct a tecMical review o# this request taking into
- account NRC authority for agreeing to final closure plans for tailings impoundments. A response by December 20, 1985 would be appreciated.
