This status report is provided to keep you assessed of current progress at the site and in request of a formal written response to an extension request by INI in the letter dated March 13, 1985 from Greg Parker / INI.
Listed below are some of the key events completed since the award of contract to Chen. Nuclear Systems Inc.
May 27 Premobilization activity completed.
June 1 Instrumentation upgrading including; a Canberra MCA Sodium Iodide detector system for soilanalysis, Constant Air Monitor system and additional survey instrumentation.
June 3 Set up and organization of Chem Nuclear 8-120 (3) Cask system for Procedure # 65.
June 7 Filter and Tube Section successfully transferred and solidified by Procedure # 65.
June 11 Chem Nuclear 8-120 (3) Cask System generated by Procedure
- 65 shipped for disposal to Chem Nuclear's Barnwell South Carolina site Commencement of Chem Nuclear Desludging Solidification set up for Procedure # 65 including Process Control rig and Cask 8-120 (4).
June 13 Iniation of Procedure # 66. (Desludging and Solidification of Pool Sediment).
June 16 Completion of desludging by 8-120 (4) generated from Procedure # 66.
Survey and close out of Chem Nuclear process control system.

The completion date for remaining programs of the decommossioning is estimated by Chem Nuclear systems as Sept 13, 1985.
