PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE DPR-45 HEALTH PHYSICS NETWORK / EMERGENCY RESPONSE FACILITIES
Dear Mr. Zwolinski:
In various submittals over the years, Dairyland Power Cooperative has discussed communications capabilities in the Emergency Response Facilities and locations of the Health Physics Network extensions. The Health Physics Network has also been called the Selective Signaling System (SS-4)
By the direction of the NRC, the Health Physics Network (HPN) is being modified. The Selective Signaling telephones are being replaced with commercial lines. Only the extensions in the Techical Support Center and Emergency Operations Facility are being replaced. The extensions in the Genoa Unit 1 Evacuation Point / Operations Support Center and in the LACBWR Environmental Lab, are being eliminated. The changeover is now scheduled for the first week of June, 1986. The purpose of this letter is to docket this update to our communications capabilities.
