Enclosed are our coments and concerns regarding your Topical Report entitled
" Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic High Integrity Containers" CNSI-FRP-14571-01.
The comments have also been transmitted through our Office of State Programs (0SP) to the Agreement States. Comments that we receive from the states will be transmitted to you when they arrive.
We hate attached a revised schedule for completion of the review of your topical report (assuming ona round of correspondence between the NRC and Chem-Nuclear). In the schedule, we have allowed sixty days for you to respond to our comments. If that period of time for your response is feasible, we believe that the schedule is achievable.
We encourage you and your staff to communicate with us by telephone or in meetings to ensure that you fully understand the questions and comments before you attempt to submit any responses in writing. This should help to reduce the likelihood of further written exchanges that could result in additional delays in the review schedule.
As is customary, we are treating the erciosed draft comments and questions as proprietary for the sake of expediting the review. We would appreciate your assistance in identifying the informati)n in our coments and questions that Chem-Nuclear truly cnnsiders to be proprietary.
