,, u The purpose of this contract modification is to extend the period of performance of the basic contract and to adjust appropriate contract clauses accordingly. The contract is hereby modified as follows:
- 1. Pursuant to the contractor's letter request dated NoveT.ber 13, 1998, the base contract period end date is extended from January 1,, 1999 to March 31, 1999. As a. result, Section F.6 is replaced by the following paragraph:
.F.6 DURATION O.'? CONTRACT (MAR 1987) ALT 2 (MAR 1987)
Performance on this contract shall commence on January 15, 1998. The contract base performance period will expire on March 31, 1999. This contract may be extended for three additional successive one-year periods at the option of the Government in accordance with Section I.3.
(End of Clause)
- 2. In addition, contract option periods shall continue to be exercisable in accordance with Section I.3 during the period starting 60 days before expiration of the current contract period and ending 60 days after the expiration of the current contract period. Futhermore, paragraph (c) of Section I.3 is modified to read as follows: "The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under- this clause, shall not exceed 5 years.
- 3. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
