Dear hir. Frizzle:
Subject; hianagement hiceting hir. P. Lydon and other members of your staff met with hir. J. Durr and other NRC stafi members on hiay 7,1992, at the NRC Region 1 Office in King of Prussia, Pennsylvanin.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the current status of the physical security program being implemented at hiaine Yankee Atomic Power Station.
The more significant discussions were on: (1) the security force contractor, (2) implementation of the access authorization rule, (3) the recent refueling outage, and (4) preparation for an upcoming operational safeguards response evaluation (OSRF). The general topics discussed, as well as a listing of all attendees, are included in the attachment to this letter. Details of the discussions are deemed to be safeguards information and are exempt from public dir. closure in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21.
The meeting provi.J the NRC with a comprehensive review of licensee activities in the area of physical security. We appreciate the efforts of your staffin compiling the information that was presented. We found it beneficial in assessing security-program activities.
