Dear Mr. Jemison:
Enclosed is a final report updating the existing Evacuation Plan for Duane Arnold Enorgy Center (DAEC) located in Linn County, Iowa.
The State of Iowa has submitted this document to FEMA Region VII for review and approval as part of an ongoing revision to the emergency plans of risk and host counties.
FEMA has requested help _from NP.C since they do not have the expertise to review this document. The Region has forwarded this report to us since they also lack the expertise to properly review this study. Under our contract flN L-1753, there are provisions to provide technical support in the area of emergency plans and procedures and items of generic interest (Task #3 of the contract).
Therefore, we are forwarding this report for review and evaluation.
We would like the written review to be completed by the end of May.
This would allow us to meet FEMA's requested date of June 22, 1992, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me.
