Rankin of the USNRC Region II of a potentially reportable condition concerning the seismic qualification of electrical seal conductor seal assemblies mounted on Class 1E junction and pull boxes.
In subsequent correspondence to the NRC, Georgia Power Company indicated that the NRC would be informed of the results of the evaluation of this condition by September 30, 1985.
Georgia Power Company has reviewed the results of the engineering evaluation of this condition.
Tne evaluation, performed by Bechtel Power Corporation, determined that the seal assembly / electrical box installations met applicable seismic requirements and that the electrical conductor seal assemblies would perform their intended safety-support functions.
Based on the evaluation results, Georgia Power Company has concluded that this concern is not reportable pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55(e) or 10 CFR 21.
