Dear Mr. Hom:
During a telephone conversation on December 29,1997, between Mr. E. E. Collins of my staff and Mr. Mike Peckham of your staff, Nebraska Public Power District changed its commitment to have essential electrical power installed to the elevated release point sump pumps. Although you originally intended to have the modificauon installed by December 31,1997, your subsequent reviews indicated that it was more prudent to install the modifbation during the midcycle outage scheduled to begin on February 28,1998, or during an unplanned outage if one occurs before this time. We agree that operational safety is better served by this minor schedule delay. The purpose of this letter is to request confirmation of this commitment. Please confirm this commitment in writing within 30 days of the date of this letter.
