This letter and the enclosed NRC Form-591 refer to the safety inspection conducted on

October 7,1998, of activities authorize.1 under your NRC Radioactive Materials

License No. 50-23219-01. Based on the results of this inspection, the NRC has

determined that one violation of NRC requirements has occurred. This violation is

cited in the enclosed NRC Form-591.

Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, you are required, within 30 days of the

above date, to sign and date the enclosed NRC Fonn-591, indicating that appropriate

action will be taken to correct the violation described on the form. After printing your

name, signing arid dating both copies of the NRC Form-591, please keep one copy and

return the remaining copy to me at the address above.
