ENCLOSURE Nuclear Requiatory Conmission (NRC) - NRC reviewed and commented on modifications to cooperative agreements with Utah, New Mexico, Idaho and Oregon.
CADSAR and NEPA documents reviewed by NRC included those for Green River, Slick Rock, Maybell, Naturita, Tuba City, Grand Junction, Monument Valley, Mexican Hat and Ambrosia Lake.
Remedial action plans and modifications reviewed by NRC in FY 1986 included Durango, Canonsburg, Lakeview, Shiprock, Salt Lake City, Ambrosia Lake, Tuba City, Mexican Hat, Monument Valley and Grand Junction.
Conditional tcr.currences in the selection of remedial action were provided for the Lakeview and Shiprock sites.
The Canonsburg dran certification of remedial action completion was reviewed and commented on by lll NRC. Construction design reviews and site inspections have included Canonsburg, Lakeview, Shiprock, Salt Lake City, Tuba City, Grand Junction, the Burrell PA Vicinity Property and Rifle.
Generic efforts have included establishment of final Standard Review Plans, revisions of the Memorandum of Understanding, institution of an NRC UMTRAP construction inspection guidance manual, and investigation of the feasibility of co-disposal of UMTRAP and active site uranium milling wastes.
PRC also reviewed DOE generic documents such as the Project Certification Plan, the Project Surveillance and Maintenance Plan, the Project Technical Approach Document and the Interim Ground-Water Protection Plan.
NRC has also continued to review VP REAs and completion reports associated with processing site cleanups.
The VP Certification Plan and a VPMIM modification were reviewed by NRC 1.n FY 1986.
