As you requested in your March 12, 1986 letter, the NRC will ensure that your State is afforded timely notification of our public meetings at which the U. S. Department of Energy's high-level waste program is discussed. In addition to continuing our practice of announcing such Commission meetings in the Federal Register we will notify your State Liaison Officer, Mr. James I. Palmer.

The Commission welcomes the State of Mississippi's attendance at and participation in its proceedings.
