NRC staff stated that the intent of the SR is I to ensure the diesel is loaded enough to stress it enough for equipment def4ciencies to become apparent without overloading the diesel The design of the :)*m ensures that ets DG is sized appropriately to handle tht accident loads. The periodic surveillance test does not have to be performed spec!fically at accidem loading to ensure it is functioning properly.
