Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3 Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2 Severe Accident Management implementation
Dear Sir / Madam:
In November 1994, the US nuclear industry committed to implement enhancements to their emergency response capabilities to cover severe accident management at their plants by December 31,1998, using the guidance contained in the current revision of NEl 91-04, " Severe Accident issue Closure Guidelines". On June 9,1997, PECO Energy notified the NRC that we would complete implementation of severe accident management by December 31,1998. Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station fulfilled this commitment as of October 23,1998, and Limerick Generating Station fulfilled this commitment as of November 10,1998. These commitments included the following elements:
