Docket Nos. 70-7001 and 70-7002 Extension for llSEC's Response to NRC Inspection Report No. 999-1322/97-Ol; 71-0832/97-214 Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) letter dated December 3,1997, transmitted the subject Inspection Report which contained one Notice of Violation (NOV) regarding USEC's oversight of a subcontractor (i.e., Westerman Companies). Pursuant to a conversation between you and Russ Wells, USEC Senior Regulatory Engineer, on December 15,1997, this letter dc,cuments USEC's understanding that NRC has agreed to extend the duc date for this response from January 2,1998, to January 23,1998.
This extension will allow USEC sufficient time to provide NRC with a more complete response to this NOV.
