I am writing to thank you on behalf of t Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Region IV staff for participating in the Emergency Response Workshop on May 6 and 7.
We had hoped for candid discussions of emergency planning and response issues when we planned the workshop and, based on all accounts, that is what we got.
We appreciate your contribution to the workshop and to its success in achieving the desired results.
While it would be unrealistic to assume that each and every problem raised will be resolved to the satisfaction of all, my staf f will be addressing many of the problems and issues that were discussed in the workshop summary.
Several seem worthy of attention.
