NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-461/97023(DRS)
Dear Mr. Cook:
On November 7,1997, the NRC completed an inspection at your Clinton Nuclear Power
Station. The purpose of this inspection was to review the licensed operator requalification
program. Tne enclosed report presents the results of the inspection.
Tbs mspectors concluded the licensed reactor operator and senior reactor operator
requalification programs were being implemented in accordance with 10 CFR Part 55
requirements. Examination materials prepared by your training staff, and operator evaluations
performed by both your training and operations staf", were of good quality,
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
