O DEC 18 TTF STATE LIAISON OFFICERS ALL AGREEMENT AND NON AGREEMENT STATES ASSIGNMENT OF DR. ROBERT J. BORES AS REGIONAL STATE LIAISON OFFICER, REGION I I am pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Robert J. Bores as the Regional State Liaison Officer for Region I, effective January 1,1998, replacing Mr. David J. Chawage, who has been selected to join the newly formed Technical Support Team within the Division of Reactor Projects.
Dr. Bores comes to his new position from the NRC Region i Division of Reactor Safety, where he served as a Senior Project Manager in Plant Support.
Dr. Bores joined the Agency in 1972 and performed inspections of licensed byproduct material programs, environmental, effluents, radiation safety, and emergency preparedness programs at reactor and fuel facility sites. He managed a number of inspection groups including er:vironmental, effluents, and health physics, served as technical assistant to the division and as a ri, ember of the Regional Assistance Committee. He received a B.S. In Physics and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point, Wisconsin in 1964. He received a M.S. In Radiological Health from Rutgers University in 1936, and his Ph.D. from Rutgers in 1970.
