Similarly, by its May 5, 1986 " Memorandum and Order Ruling On Applicants' Motion For Summary Disposition of Contention I

FP-2/EP-2(h))," the Board approved the emergency public in-formation program for transients, and directed that certain changes be made to the offsite emergency plans to reflect that program.

The Board directed that the Staff and FEMA verify those plan changes by August 4, 1986.

Because the Board's orders concern revisions to the offsite emergency plans (which are not within Applicants' cGn-trol), Applicants have consulted with appropriate offsite emer-gency management officials.

Applicants under. stand that, due to sdministrative and logistical considerations (e.qt, the need for wide review of plan changes, and cost / effective printing and distribution of revisions), offsite emergency plans are re-vised on a scheduled basis, rather than piecemeal. Emergency

' management officials of Georgia and South Carolina have advised Applicants that the next full revision of the state and local plans for the Vogtle EPZ is presently scheduled for early Fall 1986.

Nevertheless, the officials have agreed to provide revi-sions of the subject sections of the offsite plans to FEMA and the NRC Staff in accordance with the Board'u orders.

Thus, the specific revised sections of the plans which concern treatment for contaminated injured individuals will 'ce provided to the Staff and FEMA by June 16, 1986.

The revised sections of the plans which describe the emergency public information program for transients will be provided to the Staff and FEMA by July 1, 1986.

These arnangements will enable FEMA and the Staff to complete their revi'ew of the specific changes in accordance with the Board's order.

Applicants trust that the.special arrangements of the state and local officials, described above, satisfy the f
