Dear Mr. Linehan:

The attached " Program Manager's Periodic Report"(PMPR) documents the progress and financial status of the Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analyses (CNWRA) for the period October 24-November 20, 1998. Its contents comply with the requirements of section F.1.5. of the referenced contract. A diskette containing the PMPR in Wordperfect 8 format is also enclosed.

Cost variance analyses are provided for the Division of Waste Management (D1035),' Tank Waste Remediation System (J5164), gree Mile Island Unit 2 L..fependent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (J5186), '

Dry Transfer System (J5206),Uentralized Interim Storage Facility (D1035), Private Fuel Storage Facility (J5226), and Savannah River Site Aluminum-Based Spent Fuel (J5210) Job Codes (JCs), as well as for composite spending on this contract. All variances are expressed with regard to the current operations plans.

During period 2, three new intermediate milestones were introduced and one schedule change was made as reflected in table 2. Five deliverables were transmitted as indicated in table 3.
