MODiflCATION NO. 3 TO TASK ORDER N0. 28 ENTITLED " TECHNICAL BASIS FOR LICENSE RENEWALS" UNDr4 CONTRACT NO. NRC 02-95+003
'The purpose of this modification is to: (1)- provide incremental funding in the riount of $40,000, thereby increasing the obligated amount of this task order from $138,000 to $178,000. (2) revise the deliverable date for the submittal of a draft letter report under Task 2B from " January 31, 1998" to " June 2, 1998", and (2) extend the expiration date of the task order from " January 31, 1998" to " June 30, 1998" at no additional cost or obligation to the
-Government.
An extension to the previously scheduled delivery date for a draft report required under Task 28, and an extension to the expiration date of the subject task order are necessitated due to the contractor not having adequate funds to continue work, and th?refore unal e to prepare and submit the required deliverable by January 31, 1998.
In addition, the time extension is necessitated to allow the NRC staff to submit their coments to the contractor 30 days after the submittal of the draft report and then allow adequate time for the contractor to incorporate these comments into the draft letter report.
Under Section 8.0 entitled "DEllVERABLES/ SCHEDULE AND/0R HILESTONES," of the Statement of Werk to the subject task order, the garagparagraph B., the raph entitled " Task 2-Definition of the Areas of Re ulatory Concern, su delivery date for the submittal of a draft letter report regarding mechanisms and consequences of fuel cladding failure is revised from " January 31, 1998" to " June 2,1998,"
In accordance with Section G 4(c) of the subject contract entitled " Task Order
' Award," this letter definitizes Modification No. 3 to-the subject task order.
