Giardina Review Status: Complete The enclosed Supplement to the Safety Evaluation for WNP No. 2 is our evaluation of implementation of the cable identification and clarification of cable separation criteria of Section 8.4.1 (Physical Identification and Independence of Redundant Safety-Related Electrical Systems) in SER Supplement No. 2 dated October 28, 1982. The evaluation is based on the applicant's information provided in letters dated December 9 and 28,1982.

We find that implementation and clarification have not deviated from the previously approved design criteria and are,therefore, acceptable. -

previously approved in . Supplement No. 2 of the Safety Evaluation Report (NUREG-0892).

The information describes the implementation .of the identification of Class 1E redundant cables in Class 1E raceways FSAR section (8.3.1.3.1), prime ind associated cables in raceways FSA9 Section (8.3.1.3.2), and non-Class 1E cables in raceways FSAR Section (8.3.1.3.3).

The Ljcensee.also provided supplemental clarification of their position of Separation Within Panels FSAR Section (8.3.1.4.3.7),

Analysis f or Category 3 A Non-Class 1E Circuits FSAR Section (8.3.1.4.4.1.b), Analysis f or Category 3B Non-Class 1E Circuits FSAR Section (8.3.1.4.4.1.7), and Analysis for Category 3C Non-Class 1E Circuit s FSAR Section (8.3.1.4.4.1.8).

We have reviewed the implementation and clarification of design criteria for the physical identification and cable separations and concluded that the implementation and the clarification of the cable separation criteria has not deviated from the previously approved design criteria (SER dated October 28, 1982) and is, therefores acceptable.
