't S Nuclear Regulatory Commission 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 MONTICELLO NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT Docket No. 50-263 License No. DPR-22 Response to IE Bulletin 85-03 Northern States Power has joined the BWR Owners Group (BWROG) activity to provide a generic technical basis for BWR plant responses to IE Bulletin 85-03, " Motor Operated Valve Common Mode Failures During Plant Transients Due to Improper Switch Settings".
Completion of the BWROG work is expected by about September 1, 1986, which is beyond the May 14, 1986, response date requested in item (e) of the Bulletin. To allow consideration of the BWROG generic work the Monticello response will be submitted within 90 days of the completion of the BWROC work.
Please contact us if you have any questions related to our schedule for satisfying the requirements of IE Bulletin 85-03.
