BM:e Secretary of the Commission -{ Attn: Docketing and Service Branch U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C.- 20555 Gentlemen: I am writing to you to express my support for the proposed'new rule clarifying the requirements that have to be met by nuclear power plants before receiving a permit to conduct low-power tests. I am particularly -referring to the Seabrook Station in New Hampshire. I regret that the issue of the s and the, eventual full-power licensing, assuming satisfacto:. letion of all safety requirements, has become politicised by the Governor of Massachusetts. I also regret.the delay in testing and the granting of a full-power license, if safety requirements are met, because of the tremendcus added h-costs incurred in' maintaining the plant that will be required to be borne, not by the politicians, but by the rate-payers and investors. l Yours sincerely, l l / b/vwl N/ ~ V#a[S West Highland Blv5g' vin Hall, 'J r. 7I San Angelo, Texas 76903-7211 MH/j f 1 { l 8806150026 880601 PDR PR 50 53FR16435 PDR TD/D P W Fe ^*--- y p---e r&+m+ -Ww gy-5 g-Tej .r-- y m =yw w w -y9 -g,up- ,rw-yy -pr- -y 7 - - - - - -}}
