NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-282/97021(DRP); 50-306/97021(DRP)
Dear Mr. Wadley:
On December 2,1997, the NRC completed an inspection at your Prairie Island Nuclear
Generating Plant. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
During the 6-week period covered by this inspection, your conduct of activities at the Prairie
Island facility was character l zed by rareful operations using proper procedures. Performance of
refueling outage activities on Unit 1 was especially strong with no challenges to shutdown safety
and no significant errors,
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
