Davis-Besse On-site Simulator Project Schedule Gentlemen Toledo Edison provided the initial schedule for the simulator project during our SALP 4 Response Presentation on March 6, 1985. At that time ve stated that the specification contract was expected to be let on April 1, 1985 and the simulator was scheduled to be operational by December, 1988. The December, 1988 operational date was also provided in the Davis-Besse Course of Action (Serial No. 1182, September 10, 1985).
Although Toledo Edison is continuing to dedicate significant resources to the Davis-Besse On-site Simulator Project, the December, 1988 operational date is no longer achievable.
As we advised in our SALP 6 response (Serial No.
1-793), construction of the simulator building is expected to be complete by early 1989. Currently, the simulator itself is undergoing fabrication at the vendor's facility with hardware /softvare integration in process at this time.
The simulator is expected to be installed in the Davis-Besse Simulator Building by June 30, 1989 and ready for training use by December 31, 1989.
