MOTION OF THE NRC STAFF FOR EXTENSION OF TIME EQUAL TO THE TIME EXTENDED TO PETITIONER On May 20, 1988, Campbell Rich, the Petitioner herein, advised by telephone that he was seeking an extension of time to June 7, 1988, to respond to Licensee's appeal from the Memorandum and Order of the Licens-ing Board oranting Mr. Rich's petition to intervene and admitting seven contentions. In the conversation with Mr. Rich, the Staff, after deter -

mining the need for the time extension, advised that it would not oppose his request for additional time.

Because 10 C.F.R. 9 2.714a contemplates simultaneous filings by re-sponding parties, the Staff hereby mcves the Appeal Board for an extension of time equal to the time extended to the Petitioner herein in which to respond to Licensee's appeal. Staff is authorized to state that counsel for the Licensee and the Petitiorer have advised that they do not oppose Staff's request.
