England Gentlemen:

i This refers to the inspection conducted by K. R.- Naidu of this office on October 9 & 10, 1986, of your facility at Bath, England and to the discussions of our findings with you and members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

The purpose of this inspection was to verify the implementation of your quality assurance program in selected areas with emphasis on subassemblies and components supplied to Rotork Incorporated, Rochester, New York for assembly in electrically operated valve operators intended for use in nuclear power plants. Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the enclosed report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted'of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel and observations by the inspector.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's L
